Privacy Policy
Endzone is a local-first ultimate game logger. This policy explains what data stays on your device, what data may be sent off device, and how that data is used.
Who We Are
Endzone is operated by Kaan Zabun. You can contact us at [email protected]. Legal provider information is available in our Impressum.
In this policy, Endzone, we, us, and our refer to the operator of the Endzone mobile app and website.
Data Stored On Your Device
The current app does not offer user accounts or cloud sync. Most data you enter is stored locally on your device in the app database or app preferences.
- team name and team colors
- player names and optional jersey numbers
- game setup details, including tournament text, game type, schedule, venue, line size, and logging scope
- game scores, points, lineups, logged event types, selected player roles, timestamps, and field coordinates
- demo team, player, and game data bundled with the app
- preferences such as theme, measurement system, date format, and training/help states
- the Terms of Use version you accepted and the time you accepted it
This data is used to run the app, save and resume games, show squad and player pages, compute statistics, and preserve historical game records. It is not uploaded to Endzone servers in the current version.
Data Sent Off Device
Limited data may leave your device in the following situations:
Service providers may also process routine technical request data needed to receive, route, secure, and operate these requests.
App updates
Endzone uses Expo Updates so the app can check for and download remote app updates. Update requests may include technical information needed to serve the correct update, such as operating system, project ID, runtime/update metadata, and update installation identifiers.
Website
If you visit the Endzone website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process routine request data, such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and pages requested, to deliver and secure the site. The current website code does not include advertising or analytics trackers.
If You Contact Us
If you email us, for example for support or with a suggestion, we receive your email address, your message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond and to improve Endzone, and we keep it only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. Please do not include personal data about other people in your message.
Our mailboxes are hosted by Zoho Mail in its European Union data center. Zoho processes the messages you send to our contact addresses on our behalf.
Contacting us is optional. Please include only the information needed for your request.
Legal Bases For Processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases when we process personal data:
- Our legitimate interest in providing and improving the app: running local game logging, stats, and analysis.
- Our legitimate interest in reliability and security: serving app updates and protecting the app and website.
- Our legitimate interest in communicating with you and improving Endzone: receiving, reviewing, and responding to support requests and other messages, investigating problems you report, and evaluating suggestions you choose to send us.
- Legal obligation: where we must process data to comply with applicable law.
Because most data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers, it is not available to us or our service providers unless you separately include it in a message to us.
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. The app does not contain analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking.
- Expo processes app update requests for EAS Update.
- Cloudflare hosts the Endzone website and processes website request data.
- Zoho Mail hosts our email on servers in the European Union and processes messages you send to our contact addresses, including your email address and message content, so we can receive and answer them.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the app, or our rights.
Permissions
The current app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, health data, photo library, Bluetooth, or push notifications.
Security
Local app data is stored in the app sandbox on your device and is protected by your device operating system. It is not separately end-to-end encrypted by Endzone. App update requests and connections to our website are transmitted over HTTPS. Email you send us travels over standard email infrastructure, which may not be encrypted end to end, so please keep sensitive details out of email.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please avoid entering sensitive information that is not needed for ultimate game logging.
Retention And Deletion
Local data may remain on your device until you delete it using available app controls, reset your team data, or uninstall the app. It may also be lost because of device or operating-system behavior, an app update, corruption, or device loss or replacement.
Emails you send us are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, improve Endzone, and meet security, legal, or abuse-prevention needs.
- You can delete individual games in the app.
- You can delete a player from the active squad. Their name and jersey number are removed from saved games, while game activity and statistics remain under “Deleted player” so past games continue to work.
- You can delete your team from Team management, which deletes team, game, player, and onboarding data and resets preferences and training state on that device. The local record of the Terms version and acceptance time remains so the app can remember your acceptance.
- You can uninstall the app to remove app data controlled by the operating system on that device.
- You can contact us about records we control and can identify.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. Because Endzone is local-first:
- Most user-entered content is stored only on your device and is not accessible to us. You can manage or delete it using the app’s controls.
- For data that we or our service providers hold, you can contact us to request access to or deletion of records we control and can identify.
To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
EEA and UK. The legal bases we rely on are described in “Legal Bases For Processing” above. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to the processing at any time, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California. If applicable California privacy law gives you rights regarding personal information we process, you may exercise those rights as described above. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data About Other People
Endzone lets you enter roster and game information about teammates, opponents, and other people involved in a game. Only enter information about adults who are at least 18 and have given you permission. Never enter information about anyone under 18.
Children
Endzone is intended only for adults who are at least 18 and is not directed to anyone under 18. Anyone under 18 must not use Endzone.
Users must not enter or send us roster, game, or other information about anyone under 18. Endzone does not intentionally seek or request personal information about anyone under 18.
If you believe information about anyone under 18 was entered or submitted, contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate steps regarding identifiable records within our control. Information stored only on a user’s device must be removed using the app’s deletion controls or by uninstalling the app.
International Processing
Our service providers may process data in countries other than where you live. For example, Zoho Mail hosts our email in its European Union data center but states that limited support access from outside the European Economic Area may occur. Expo and Cloudflare may process technical data in the United States and other countries.
Where required, international transfers are protected by an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us at [email protected] to ask which safeguard applies or how to obtain more information about it.
Changes
We may update this policy when Endzone changes or when legal, store, or service-provider requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
